A Note from the Founder

The original pen friend application pack I completed in 1992 — including the form, letter-writing hints, and the small pamphlet that invited me to “open a window to another world.”

In 1992, as a young boy, I filled out an application at school to find a pen friend somewhere in the world.Weeks later, a handwritten letter arrived from another country.There were no notifications or instant replies — just a real envelope addressed to me. I still remember how extraordinary that moment felt.I’ve kept those letters for over thirty years.

Some of the letters I received as a teenager — handwritten, personal, and still kept more than thirty years later.

There are no ongoing subscription fees.What happens after I join?After completing your membership purchase, you'll be directed to a short sign-up form. Once submitted, we review your profile and carefully match you with a compatible pen pal.How long does matching take?Most matches are made within 1–4 weeks depending on preferences and location.
